Vijay Awards, now in it's eighth year is an annual event that honors excellence in Tamil cinema in various fields and categories. It is by far, Vijay TV's biggest event of the year and is eagerly anticipated by movie fans and stars alike.
The awards are given to the best productions, performances and efforts in various fields of cinema as chosen by a jury of film-makers, technicians and critics. Some of the categories are open to public voting online. All of the activity culminates in the awards night, which is usually a star-studded affair attended by the who's who of Tamil cinema.
Ajith has been nominated for Best Hero for Aarambham with Dhanush for Maryan, Kamal Hassan for Vishwaroopam , Vijay for Thaliva and Surya for Singam 2.
Vijay Awards 2014 is scheduled on 5th July 2014 at Nehru stadium and the event will be telecast on Vijay TV shortly !!!
